Oh my

Well, that was a short lived stint of literally two weeks (two years ago). Much has changed since then. In fact I forgot this existed for a good long while.

Some brief life updates to catch up with myself to update in another two years time.

1. I’m dating Floyd. I didn’t realise how much I was a gusher over her even way back when. We’ve been together for over a year at this point which is rather nice. I’ve somewhat come into my own sexuality as a lesbian? Still not 100% on that one but I’m going with it for now.

2. My grammar is actually bearable now. I know the difference between too and to and when to use it’s and its (I’m still quite bad at the it thing to be fair).

3. I’m using writing this to procrastinate doing English study because it makes my brain numb. Love the subject and learning the content, hate studying for essays. Kills me every time.

I think that’s enough for now. Can’t really be arsed doing more.

With lots of lesbian love

The Wonders of This Thing called The Internet

Think about it. If you are reading these very words, you are using the internet. If you are using this website, you are using the internet. If you are opening a web browser you are using the internet. That is seriously amazing. I can write these meaningless messages and such by purely clicking on my browser (which is chrome by the way in case you were wondering), selecting my WordPress bookmark and typing all my little random thoughts. And when I’ve finished writing, I can press publish and you guys from all over the world can read it. All because Tim     Burners-Lee (and associates) invented this world wide web. Think about how many times a day you use the internet. Don’t kid yourself into thinking not that much, we all use it regularly. So regularly in fact that for most of us it has become routine. The information highway is at the tips of our fingers, literally. It seemingly couldn’t be easier to use, but we are making it easier. Companies all over the globe are in a race to make the best technology. To make the fastest technology. To make the newest technology. As much as we would like to think it is for the advancement of the human race, it’s all for the money. But that’s okay! For us lowly beings anyway. Everyone is trying to feed our habits, so why not let them. If we didn’t need to eat drink or sleep, who knows what kind of cave dwelling beings we would end up becoming. No one will ever see all of the internet no matter how hard they tried. More than 24 hours of footage is uploaded to Youtube every 24 hours. Think about ten years worth. And let’s not even mention the readable content on blog sites, news sites and all most every other type of website. There is even a website that redirects you to other useless websites – here have some fun with it http://www.theuselessweb.com – well that should keep you up till 2 in the morning. I’ll wrap this up seeing as you no doubt are dying to visit that website. I hope you are having a lovely morning. afternoon or evening wherever you are!

Camps – Sympathise With Me

Camps are often disappointing aren’t they? If they aren’t, they are surprisingly not awful.Whether it’s a school camp or some random summer camp, it’s highly likely that the accommodation is bad, the activities are mediocre at best and that the food is bad and you swear you could have gotten food poisoning from it. Where I live the only real campsites you get, that don’t require you to pitch a tent, are Christian Camps. I’m not saying Christian Camps are bad, although I’m not much of a believer you could say, it’s just that if you were a kid who really wanted to go on a Summer Camp with all your mates, would you really want to have to got to a chapel service for half an hour to an hour every morning/evening? Seriously, someone needs to invest in an organisation that runs camps that aren’t religiously inclined. They would make a killing, honestly the fact that someone hasn’t already done it is a mystery to me.

What put me onto this topic was the fact I went on camp. It was all of the things I have stated above, such a shame. However, some of the activities were alright. Archery was one of the ones that weren’t so good. The instructor who took us out, taught us to pull the string back wrong. I know it was wrong because I have done archery a few times, and on those few times it was at a special archery place where knowing about archery was part of the job description. So that was frustrating the hell out of me for an hour and a half. Not fun.

That was a really good, although somewhat short, rant. If you aren’t one to listen/read about a rant and actually find it frustrating I’m sorry. I have never liked camps like the ones stated above very much. At all. EVER. Sorry I haven’t posted to much recently. It probably won’t be any more consistent. I will just write when I have the time (which isn’t a common occurrence at the moment), but fear not, I haven’t given up already. I’m going to try keep this up with a weekly update (roughly) of varying lengths. Whatever happens just accept it ’cause it happened.

I hop you’re having a lovely morning, afternoon or evening wherever you are!

Lots of Ranty Love

I Wrote this at School

The title is pretty self explanatory. I am in my music class and my friend Floyd (not her real name and Floyd is a girl) is playing her guitar that she is a pro at. It’s providing me with wonderful background music to write to. It makes me feel very soulful, if that makes any sense what so ever. I wouldn’t be writing this if I hadn’t forgotten my clarinet. So it isn’t so bad. I don’t know where I will be going with this post, so don’t expect it to be long ;).

I think I’m going to write about Floyd playing her guitar. It sounds so nice and good and stuff. I know that doesn’t make any sense, but if you could hear it you would understand. I’ll explain Floyd’s alias to you. She is completely and totally in love with Pink Floyd. She fangirls over old men and it’s so cute. When people make Pink Floyd references her head shoots up, her eyes turn bright as the sun and her mouth forms the most ridiculous smile. And she will just stare at me or the person who said it or she just looks around the room really fast. I don’t share her obsession over Pink Floyd although I do like their music. Back to her guitar playing. It sounds like if it were a person it would be just so pretty and down to earth.

That’s enough. I’m going to go now. I hope you have a wonderful morning/afternoon/evening wherever you are!

A Little About Me

Hi all!

I am here as a wannabe blogger who talks about her ever so “interesting” life because I’ve decided that someone will care. Eventually. Any who, I decided to make my first post a tad bit selfish and somewhat vain, but seeing as no one is going to read it anyway, what’s it matter?

So I think I’ll begin with the basics.

1. My favourite number is 4 simply because when I was about seven or eight I decided that that was the best age to be.  I’m not so sure on that answer anymore, but the number has stuck. So be it.

2. My favourite colour is blue. I didn’t have a favourite colour for quite a while, but once again my seven/eight year old self wanted to make another important life decision so I thought ‘my big brother likes green, so I can’t like that. All my friends like purple, so I can’t like that (and it’s to girly). Hey! Blue’s a cool colour.’ So that was that.

3. Those are the only two things that I have clear favourites for. Everything else that other people have favourites of I do not have mostly because I am very non commital when it comes to favourites. For example: If I was forced to choose a favourite book, I simply couldn’t. There is no book in the world that is so good that it could be my favourite. And honestly I hope there never will be.

4. This will be an anonymous blog because I don’t feel like sharing my entire personal life over the internet on a blog because, honestly, it could be taken quite seriously out of context. I don’t want anyone to get butthurt by reading what I post.

That’s all for the basics. It’s only a crash course to the confusingness (I know it’s not a word) that is my train of thought, but you’ll eventually get to know all about that. I am going to be my completely ‘normal’ and true self here, so if you don’t like it, you don’t need to tell me. Complain on reddit or something.

So you are informed. I am a nerd. A giant nerd. I love reading, writing, occasionally making overly deep comments about very mundane things and playing video games and take pride in being a part of the PC master race. I am what is considered intelligent and sometimes I use big words. I am not trying to be that girl who is just like “I read books, I use big words. Love me for my uniqueness” because I am not into that. I’m into The Sims 3 and city builders, and prison builders (Prison Architect anyone?) and much more. Anyhow my interest in computer games comes from my older brother, whom I shall call Steam. This is a rather long story so I am going to cut to the chase. He started playing Runescape (that MMO that everyone has played at least once in their life) and that grew into an interest in games in general.

That leaves me here today writing up my very first blog post of which I would really like to grow into a library of posts. And possibly a community. I’m expecting one follower that turns out to be a creepy boy from the nearby school who happens to know me some how. However I am hoping for a big ole’ community of fellow nerds or people that understand what I am going to be expressing.

I really hope you guys are having a wonderful morning, afternoon or evening where ever you are!

Lots of Dorky Love,

Lyfe
